CONVERSE RUBBER TRACKS DEBUTS DOCUMENTARY SERIES SPOTLIGHTING THE RECORDING JOURNEY OF EMERGING MUSICIANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Original films follow four international acts on their journey to legendary studios with surprise guests Mark Ronson, Marky Ramone, and more.

Converse unveils a new, four-part documentary series presented by Noisey that highlights the story of four emerging musical acts chosen to participate in the Converse Rubber Tracks global studio takeover that took place in September 2015. Chosen from over 9,000 applicants worldwide, each of the four acts were a part of the 84 international up-and-coming musicians, bands, and artists selected to record original music at iconic recording studios around the world, at no cost to the artist. Produced by Pulse Films, each film spotlights the journey of each act from their hometown to their recording session, which features surprise visits from world renowned, influential artists such as Mark RonsonMarky RamoneThurston Moore, and Sly and Robbie. Surprise visits include mentored sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London, England; Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin, Germany; Avast Recording Co. in Seattle, USA and Tuff Gong in Jamaica, Kingston.

Beginning this month, the four original films will be released through March 2016, with the trailer for the series debuting today on Noisey.com.

An extension of the highly-acclaimed Converse Rubber Tracks platform, the global studio takeover provided musicians from over 25 countries keys to 12 of the world’s most iconic studios, including Abbey Road Studios in London, England; Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, California; Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin, Germany; Tuff Gong in Kingston, Jamaica; Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavik, Iceland; The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada; Avast Recording Co. in Seattle, Washington; Stankonia in Atlanta, Georgia; Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia; Toca do Bandido in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil; the original brick-and-mortar Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, New York, and the newly unveiled permanent Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Boston, Massachusetts at Lovejoy Wharf.  The 84 aspiring artists selected to be a part of the program represented countries across six continents, and were given the opportunity to record alongside a team of experienced producers and sound engineers during 1-2 day sessions. Upon completion of their studio time, each act retained all the rights to their music.
